But they are murky pictures that are either in a small space at the top of the page, above the name of the knot, or serve as a background for the entire page. In addition to knot-tying techniques, the book contains a comprehensive glossary of terms to guide you through the complexities of different rope types and helps you choose the right rope for every task.
Another plus is that it covers decorative knots, such as plaits boko sennits. That depends on the buworth of course and, because not every reader is at the same level, the book works on those knots.
Not only does each knot come with several large compkete simple illustrations the easiest to understand that I’ve ever seenbut also detailed information on its application, such as when and when not to use it.
Based on the fact that this book is intended as an encyclopedia and it is in fact the standard reference work for knots, I give it five stars.

I found the choice of knots to be satisfactory egoffrey that most of the basic knots are covered. That is always helpful. Great reference, will be referring to this. Showing of 60 reviews. All have deficiencies of one sort or another. After some frustration and referring to other sources, I was able to tie the knot. For what it’s worth, I was unable to tie the Turquoise Turtle knot following Pawson’s description until Knnots watched a video on the internet.
